Twas the Night Before Christmas
Well, actually, it's not quite. Rather, it is the end of the last day of school before Christmas. I have never been one to count down the days to a holiday, but I always enjoy this last day. Teachers are good to the kids and kids are good to the teachers, and we all try to be good to one another. It's nice to give the gift that says thank you for working with me, or the gift that makes someone laugh. It's just special to see people realize that we are lucky to work and to work together. I know it's not a perfect world and not everyone may feel the way that I feel, but tonight, as I wrap up my work and clear my desk, I'm thankful for the blessings of my life - including the break I am about to receive. Merry Christmas, each and every one.
